Oh No 02:37
two strikes at midnight give me one more chance to bring it home I don't care what's right I'll wait until the morning shows it's light it's a little high a little low just take a stab and let it go oh no feels like forever I'd be lying if I said I wasn't afraid tastes like honey swallow down all of those words we cannot say __________________________________

Make Believe 03:11
You said it was Sudden death I can’t tell What you meant Test your faith Tell me straight Come on down Hurry up it’s time to go now Your guy Is one of a kind He knows just want he wants While all of us Are losing touch Playing make believe You have been told My heart is gold Even though I might feel cold Test your faith Tell me straight Come on down Hurry up It’s time to go now
3.
Dreamer 03:30
You go knock on the door Trying to start a new war Never walking away Clinging to something each day You better stop and ask why The secrets always disguised Another flimsy attempt Was it just something you dreamt? If fortune favors the brave Why’s it so easy to cave? All the facts that seem real Exposing all that they steal We better ask ourselves why The secrets never implied Another flimsy attempt I guess it’s something we dreamt You’ll ask me why I’ll sell it well You won’t be pleased But I can’t tell
4.
Explode 03:13
This will not explode That’s what you told me Touch the light Expose Yourself to the dark side Catch what yours I’ll find My place in the meantime Just don’t stop Untill I say Come back to the sunshine We all want to begin Give us all something to believe in
5.
Are ya living are ya dying Doing what you’re supposed to? It’s a fever don’t believe her I cannot see through Blue skies screaming Can’t believe it Don’t blow the candle out Before we’ve even got it lit She’s a dreamer Cannot blame her Does what she’s supposed to It’s the rapture Grab the pastor Not doing what he’s supposed to? Are we there yet? Is this real life? Can’t we just go home
Are you living are ya dying Doing what you’re supposed to? Are you living are ya dying Doing what you’re supposed to? I already know when it is time To take it slow But why is it a crime, to be the one Who’s stuck on the line
6.
I cannot understand All that was All that’s planned Count it down Two by two It’s not enough Give me something new Settle down Buckle up Close your eyes Wish for luck Run it down Chase the storm Realize you want something more What remains Is it too much to pretend we’re fake? Or are we just stuck out in the rain?
7.
You will find me here At the break of dawn I don’t know too well What I can’t see far I see myself In all of your scars We’ll say oh well We don’t do shame Hang in the shade Try to get paid Hold on tight You’re not sure what to do It’s like eating glass Never had a clue I see your face In all that I do Steal it all away

about

“Oh No, It’s The Rapture” is a collection of songs by Padden, for Padden. Written and mostly recorded almost exclusively over the course of a ten day quarantine when Padden had to isolate both from his Covid-stricken wife and the outside world, it is an album entirely his own. Some of the ideas had been floating around his head and fretboard for years, but Padden had never quite found the time to bring them fully to life, until time was all he had. With the release of this solo record, Padden once again voyages into a new direction in his long musical career, without expectation or hesitancy.
